We have some very exciting adult classes opening up next Sunday, January 7th, that we think you’ll want to participate in. Look below!

THE GOSPEL OF LUKE (9:30 am in Room 203)
Teacher: Frank Jones
You may be surprised that Luke is the longest book in the New Testament. In this study, we will cover things which Luke has written that are not found in Matthew, Mark or John. A couple of examples: the parable of the good Samaritan and the parable of the prodigal son. This semester, we will also have class members lead our discussion during the term. The goal: in the last words of Peter, “to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Teacher: Robert Schwartz
Parents of school aged children endure a constant battle of distractions in our walk with God. Through a combination of discussion, mentorship and fellowship, this class provides survival instruction to God’s people. These designated survivors will be equipped to take up the armor of God to overcome the daily struggle.

103 INTRODUCTION TO THEOLOGY (9:30 am in Room 208)
Teachers: Dr. Dwain Camp (Elder) & Jay Campbell
Why did God create us? Why did He create us male and female? How did God make us like Himself? What is sin and where did it come from? How is Jesus fully God and fully man? Was it really necessary for Christ to die? If you have pondered these questions and others like them, then “systematic theology” is certainly a meaningful and important area of study for you.
In this third semester, we will examine the Scriptures to see what the Bible has to say about a wide array of critical topics: Sin, Salvation, God, The Holy Spirit, Sanctification, Creation, Humanity, etc. We will use Wayne Grudem’s Bible Doctrine to assist us, covering the topics chapter by chapter. Prepare for class each week by reading the upcoming material and come ready to discuss the teachings of God’s eternal word. Bring your questions and we will have a great time learning together.

Teachers: Stanley Clark & Jeremy Johnson
From a bird’s eye perspective, we will offer a biblical survey of the books of Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Jude, and Revelation. We will look at the overall message, themes, and important issues, such as how Christians are to persevere. This is a great study for those who are new to the faith or those who are eager to grasp the overall message and themes of the Scriptures.

UN ESTUDIO SOBRE EL LIBRO DE HEBREOS (9:30 am en cuarto 204)
Maestro: Jesus Urdiales
