Hello Group,

Editing this event to let everyone know that we’re cancelling tonight’s CG.

We won’t be meeting next Thursday due to Thanksgiving.  I’ll post the book chapters sometime early next week.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

I’ve got cheese and sour cream!  LMK if I also should bring butter. :)

Also, is there something I should have read before arriving?

Michael Maresh on 11/14/2017

Sarah, I mentioned the plan last Thursday and since you weren’t there I’ll type it in here too.

From this Thursday until the end of the year, we’re going to be discussing some of the topics raised in Alex McFarland’s book “10 Issues that Divide Christians.”

If you’d like to own the book, you can go buy it and read the material.  The plan is that you don’t have too by the book, most of these topics will be known enough for us to discuss and have opinions without the book.

My goal of these discussion is to flush out various Christian stances on these issues and discuss, defend, and/or refute them on Thursday.  If that happens, we will see.

Earnie and I will be in Tyler this weekend, can’t wait to hear how this goes!

I won’t be there this week, but I have a suggestion. Would you consider sending us a list of the topics for the next several weeks so that we could be thinking ahead about the issues?  Hope y’all have fun.

Michael Maresh on 11/15/2017

I don’t think there is a schedule of which topic on which Thursday, I but I can send the list of chapters from the book I’d like to cover.

Next time I have the book with me I’ll send the list.
